Sedation DENTISTRY

We offer several options to help our patients cope with fear and anxiety.

The staff and care provided are incredible. The reason I chose to continue with them, even though I now live an hour away.

For patients who suffer from moderate to severe dental related anxiety, we now offer sedation dentistry under Dr. Tinsley's care. She is certified and dedicated to helping you feel safe and relaxed throughout your procedure with sedation dentistry.

How Does Sedation
Dentistry Work?

After taking your medical history and any current prescriptions into account, we'll be able to determine if you're the right candidate for sedation dentistry. We will then provide a prescription for a sedative that you will take before your appointment. You will be required to have a trusted family member or friend to bring you to your appointment, to escort you home and keep an eye on you until the sedation has worn off completely.

If you have any questions regarding sedation dentistry, please give us a call and we'll be happy to help you.

Nitrous Oxide

Commonly referred to as "laughing gas" nitrous oxide is administered onsite during treatment. It has a calming effect which helps nervous patients relax, yet it does not produce harmful side effects. Patients are cleared on oxygen before leaving so that they can drive themselves home without risk.

Oral medication

If necessary oral medication may be prescribed to be taken prior to treatment. This is only done for patients of record who have been seen and evaluated prior to treatment. If oral medication is taken, the patient must be escorted by someone to and from the office.
